Make a stop at this vibrant coastal community only a 15-minute drive from our resort. Rounding the bend to the bay unveils a colourful town lined with historic buildings, unique shops, and galleries. Mostly notably, it is known for its iconic Three Churches. Your first great photo opportunity!

Lunenberg
A must-visit town and UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is home to the iconic Bluenose II and the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic. This charming coastal destination offers a picturesque waterfront with shops, restaurants, and boat tours. Be sure to visit The Barn on the waterfront for local coffee and treats.

Masstown Market
This is not your typical rest stop. It goes way beyond your expectations. This village-style complex is a treasure trove of local Nova Scotia products, from a bakery to a deli to fresh local seafood, you will also find a gift shop, liquor store, and gardening and floral shop.

Annapolis Valley
This is Nova Scotia wine country. This lush region is famous for its orchards, vineyards, dramatic tides, and deep Acadian history. Be sure to pop into the vibrant boutique shops and cafés in Wolfville. TIP: Blomidon Winery offers great dining and wine tasting year-round. Then continue to The Lookoff in Canning for a gorgeous panoramic view of the entire valley.

Bras d’Or Lake & Kidston Lighthouse
Designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Bras d’Or Lake is a vast inland sea that combines saltwater and freshwater ecosystems, creating a unique environment rich in biodiversity. Get a beautiful view across the lake from Kidston Lighthouse which has the reputation of being one of Cape Breton’s most picturesque waterfront views. The perfect location to take a breath and just be present.
